Repeat Prescriptions
The best way to order a repeat prescription is online using this link, the NHS App or Patient Access
Alternatively, you can make a request
- In person clearly mark the items required on the tear-off part of your prescription and drop it into our external letterbox
- By post send it to us with stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you
- Via local pharmacy collection service (prescription collection service) - please note Cogges Hill Pharmacy are not currently offering this service, however other local pharmacies may be able to help
The doctor has responsibility for every prescription they sign, and there may be instances where an item you request is not prescribed for you again due to clinical or other reasons.
It is your responsibility to check that repeat prescriptions have been issued as requested.
Useful Information
How long will my prescription take to be issued?
Please allow 2-3 full working days for prescriptions to be processed by the Surgery and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
Pharmacies may take another 3 days to process your request so allow 5-6 days to pick up your medication.
Medication changes / recommendations from a hospital
If you have been seen at the hospital and your medication needs to be changed immediately then you will be issued with medication by the hospital.
If you are given a hospital letter which recommends a change or new medications then it may take up to 14 working days for the request to be actioned.
Medication Reviews
If you are on repeat medications these will be reviewed annually. You will be invited to make an appointment with either a doctor, clinical pharmacist or practice nurse in advance of the review being due.
